We welcome people of all ages, genders and orientations (yes, you too, allies) to come! Dress code: your most genuine, fabulous self – however you best feel your oats is good enough for us.
Here’s all of the amazing details you need to know:
> Tickets are $30 for students and low income folx, $60 for adults
> Buffet-style dinner
> Dance floor with DJ
> $5 Mocktail bar, regular price cocktail bar
> Silent auction (really cool items from local shops and artists)
> Photobooth (with props)
> A tacky, yet fabulous rainbow balloon arch/black glitter backdrop for professional photos done by the amazing Samantha Stuart Photography Inc. so you can live out your 80s prom dreams
Tickets are available at the Rainbow Youth Centre (#223, 5112 52nd Street). We will have 50 rainbow rose corsages and boutonnieres for sale (minimum $20 donation).
Prizes will be awarded to the best prom-posals! Use #🌈promyzf on your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter posts to be entered into the competition!!
Tickets are already starting to go! We have a few different options on how to purchase:
1. Come to the Rainbow Centre (5112 52nd Street) from 9am-5pm.
2. Message us for an alternate pick-up time (we’re able to stick around past 5 for the rest of March Break, and will be back to regular evening hours next week!).
3. E-transfer us to reserve your ticket! Send $$ to firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name(s) and what type of ticket you’re buying (adult or youth/low-income) in the message. Tickets bought this way will be available at the door on prom night.
4. Buy a ticket from one of our trusty board members! BOD selling tickets are: Nora Russell, Lane MacIntosh, Amanda St. Denis and Josh Murray.
We also have been donated 6 youth/low-income tickets, for folx who can’t afford the $30 ticket charge but would love to go. Please message us or email us to reserve one of these tickets.
