Our Programs

We offer a variety of programming for all sorts of people, with a particular focus on youth. Our programming focuses on youth, 2SLGBTQIA+ issues/experiences, sexual health, and identity as a whole. All of our programming is 100% free, however we always appreciate donations. Don’t see it on the calendar? We might not be hosting that program this month! Keep up to date on what programs are available for the current month here.

If you would like to host a program at the Rainbow Centre that touches on one of our focus areas, please send us an email at programs@rainbowcoalitionyk.org.

Gender+ | Age: 14-30

Gender+ is a support group that welcomes people in the community who are trans, two-spirit and/or whose gender lies outside the binary. This includes, but is not limited to, genderfluid, genderqueer, non-binary, transgender, agender and bigender. This group also welcomes those who are questioning their gender. At this time the group is a closed group, meaning that those who are allies to the trans and gender nonconforming community must seek permission to attend as support for a trans or gender nonconforming person, but cannot attend alone simply to seek to better inform themselves – there are workshops each month that are held to educate the public on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and we encourage you to seek out those opportunities instead. This group meets every other Tuesday at the Rainbow Centre from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. If you’re interested in attending the group and have any questions, please give us a shout at info@rainbowcoalitionyk.org.
